Lyrics

Can't Keep It In

I was down and short of breath,

something heavy on my chest.

Like a thought, you lived forever,

but I guess I preferred you in the flesh.

It brings me back to my hole in the ground,

building up under the pressure.

And, it's out of my control,

so I swallow it down.

I went bust and lost my head. (It bought me back to the holes.)

There were rumors of my death. (I found it easier to fold.)

Like, I thought, you knew the answer.

It's too bad you never said.

And, it brings me back to the holes in the ground,

building up under the pressure.

I wish it were something I never learned

to swallow down.

But it's not staying hid anymore, it's coming open.

It's not staying hid anymore, and I'm exploding.

I can't keep it in anymore, with all my focus.

I can't keep it in anymore, anymore, anymore.

I bit my tongue until it bled.

It filled my mouth up with regret.

Like a tub, I filled with water,

I felt heavy as a brick.

I sink back into the holes in the ground,

building up under the pressure.

It takes everything that I can do

to swallow down.

But, it's not staying hid anymore, it's coming open.

It's not staying hid anymore, and I'm exploding.

I can't keep it in anymore, I lost my focus.

I can't keep it in anymore, anymore, anymore.

It's not staying hid anymore, it's coming open.

It's not staying hid anymore, and I'm exploding.

I can't keep it in anymore, takes all my focus.

I can't keep it in anymore, anymore, anymore.

I can't keep it in anymore, anymore, anymore.
