What It’s Worth

With God looking down,

I waded out, out into the water.

I can drink this dry, or I can drown,

I'll weigh my options after.

The fire is burning hot, and the dogs,

they are just doing their job.

The chuck is looking like the better option,

so I throw my clothes in and I dive.

Let's hope my life is worth it, worth it.

Let's hope my life is worth it.

I have never been as good as this at a swim,

but icy, sans a dress, well it's a good motivation.

The islands are too far,

my only hope, without a ship,

is a friendly bunch of fish.

I dream I'm going down

by the foot, from a fin.

I am food, I won't win, I won't win.

Let's hope my life is worth it, worth it.

Let's hope my life is worth it, worth it.

Let's hope my life is worth all that I spend.

Let's hope my life is worth it in the end.

Cutting off your finger,

there is a moment at which you still can feel.

But, my muscles, frozen over,

like a photo of an imbecile.

The beach is to my left, and the dogs, they look like pets

when I'm this close to losing.

And, even turning back

don't look that bad, if I were only a little closer.

Let's hope my life is worth it, worth it.

Let's hope my life is worth it, worth it.

Let's hope my life is worth all that I spend.

Let's hope my life is worth it in the end.
